Student Services

Provides the student community with services that support and enhance the quality of student life and all related co-curricular activities. Additionally, they provide services related to housing, student development, leadership, community service, and recreation. Plan and direct a wide range of student activities, events, and organizations that engage students’ academic, co-curricular, and professional lives. Collaborates with academic units and staff, admissions, financial assistance, career development, and recreational athletics.

Sub Family

Provides academic advisement current students. Responsible for assessing student academic level, and responding to student academic inquiries. Assists in the resolution of student academic problems, academic program changes, class schedules, program applications, transfer evaluations, and academic transcripts for entry and exit from the university.

Evaluates students seeking entrance to Georgetown. Develops and implements tools to provide the university with key data for admissions decisions. Manages the initial screening of applicant credentials. Makes final decision on admissions decisions.

Oversees and manages recreational programs and facilities on campus. This includes developing and implementing a variety of recreational activities and events to promote physical fitness and wellness among students, faculty, and staff. These positions may also be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safety of recreational facilities, managing equipment and resources, and supervising staff and student workers.

Administers students’ career development programs and placement services. Oversees a range of services including career exploration and planning, job search services, internships and professional placement. Advises students on career options and prepares them with the tools, experience and strategies needed to obtain professional placement after graduation. May secure and improve relations with potential employers, and establish and manage employment or placement programs.

Analyzes students’ level of need and eligibility for financial aid, allocates financial aid awards and advises students on obtaining aid. Interprets financial aid regulations, analyzes student data, and implements procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and timely delivery of financial aid. Manages scholarship programs.

Provides registration planning and implementation services, and manages student records. Implements and enforces instructional, professional, and legal standards and regulations related to academic records.

Administers housing services for students and delivering on the residential mission of the University. Manages a variety of services related to housing, including maintenance, utilities, housing allocation, safety and security, disciplinary standards, and residential planning and monitoring.

Supports all aspects of student life and activities on campus. Activities include developing programs and initiatives to engage students on campus, planning student events, providing logistical support to recreational activities, Student Council and ensuring health, safety, and wellbeing of students.

Develops and executes student recruitment strategies. Creates marketing plans and marketing materials. Promotes the university and participates in recruitment fairs, conferences, conventions.

Provides comprehensive support and services to students, with a particular focus on international students. This includes assisting students in navigating the academic, social, and cultural aspects of their college experience, promoting student success and well-being. Additionally, these positions may involve coordinating immigration and visa services for international students, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating cultural exchange and integration.
