Development/Institutional Advancement
Plan and execute the university’s fundraising campaigns. Positions in this job family advance the university’s mission through building and fostering life-long relationships and engagement with alumni, parents, corporations and foundations. Activities include planning and carrying out the institution’s gift-giving programs and soliciting gifts from various constituents.
Sub Family
Alumni Relations
Directs, promotes, and manages the engagement and effectiveness of alumni relations and associations. Responsible for building mutually beneficial relationships with alumni, the university and the community. Directs and controls the alumni foundations or associations for the university. Responsible for organizing alumni campaigns, gift programs, giving programs and/or other alumni related fundraising events or programs and related communications.
Annual Giving
Plans, implements, and manages fundraising campaigns and initiatives aimed at securing annual financial support from alumni, parents, and other donors. The position involves developing and executing strategies to cultivate and steward relationships with donors, including identifying and engaging potential donors, soliciting donations, and acknowledging and recognizing donors for their contributions.
Corporate & Foundation Relations
Cultivates and manages relationships with corporate partners and foundations to secure financial support for the institution’s programs and initiatives. This includes identifying potential funding opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to engage corporate and foundation donors, and stewarding existing relationships to ensure ongoing support.
Development
Designs, develops, and administers efforts related to establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with various companies, organizations, and entities to support the institution’s mission and initiatives. Identifies new prospects through research and evaluates, analyzes, and formulates strategies for growth in strategic partnerships. Oversees the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful implementation of programs / strategies.
Development Support
Supports the university’s fundraising programs and campaigns. Responsible for tracking and managing donor information and identifying prospective donor opportunities through in-depth research. Activities may include administrative support for the various development functions.
Donor Relations
Ensures all contracts are managed correctly and ensures that they meet donor requirements, including donor reporting; acting as a point of reference for key donors; providing oversight for formalized donor recognition activities; responsible for facilitating the process to approve naming an institution asset.
Planned Giving
Identifies, cultivates, and stewards gift donors to support the university. Activities include motivating donors to make significant gifts, coordinating and managing stewardship and gift planning efforts, strategizing for fundraising campaigns and events, and participating in marketing initiatives.
Research & Prospect Development
Conducts research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential donors and prospects for the institution. This includes gathering and analyzing data from various sources to assess the capacity and inclination of individuals, corporations, and foundations to make philanthropic contributions.
Stewardship
Plans and coordinates stewardship events at the institution. Identifies potential donors, tracks gifts, and interacts with various members of the donor community to cultivate gifts for the institution.
