Service Awards
Georgetown University honors those administrative employees who have made a significant commitment to the university and its mission. Eligible staff and AAPs are recognized beginning at five years of total service and at each subsequent five year anniversary. The Department of Human Resources partners with Royal Recognition to provide a milestone award in recognition of their dedication and commitment to the university.

The annual Service Awards Ceremony recognizes those staff and AAPs who have
achieved 20 years of service, and at subsequent five year intervals (25, 30, 35, etc.).
Service Award Eligibility
To be eligible for recognition, recipients must have at least five years of service as a non-temporary Georgetown administrative employee. Eligible employees are recognized beginning at five years of total service and at each subsequent five year anniversary. Calculations of years of service for reemployed administrative employees can be found in HR Policy 209: Reemployment.
