1. What is your job title?

HR Business Partner

2. What exactly do you do in your position?

“The HRBP is the liaison between HR and their assigned business units and/or schools. Our role is to align business strategic objectives with employees and management, and to help leadership and managers implement best HR practices that support the business.”

3. How do you serve the Georgetown community?

“Right now, I would say that I have not quite landed into other service opportunities as I am still technically new and learning my role and business units.  I will say that I make myself available to my respective clients through providing

great customer service and establishing trust as we work to build our HR relationships.”

4. How long have you been at Georgetown University?

5. Why did you choose to serve at GU?

“Georgetown is a well-respected, world-renowned institution of higher learning.  I chose to apply and serve here because of the CARES values. They are displayed by my colleagues and other staff I encounter regularly.  Everyone is so caring and supportive.”

6. What’s your hometown?

“I am a native Washingtonian; born and raised right here in Washington, D.C.”

7. Educational Background

Erika has a master’s degree in Management with a concentration in HR studies.

8. What are three fun facts that the Georgetown community may not know about you?

“I am a believer and follower of Jesus Christ.”

“I once volunteered with a local police department.”

“I am truly an introvert at heart.”
