Recruitment Advertising

The Department of Human Resources has established partnerships that will maximize the advertising reach for career opportunities at Georgetown University. All staff and faculty job openings posted on the Georgetown Careers site will be cross-posted to Inside Higher Ed, HigherEdJobs, Mid-Atlantic HERC, Diversity Jobs,,,, and the Circa (a service that focuses on local career sites as well as reaching diverse talent pools nationwide). This advertising will post automatically at no charge to departments, using the standard recruiting business processes.

The University has also partnered with JobElephant for external recruitment advertising. JobElephant will simplify and expedite your external recruitment advertising by placing your ads in any publication in the world. JobElephant advertises with 20,000+ media sources. Online and in print. Anywhere you want to place an ad.

Departments now have two options for obtaining pricing and placement suggestions for advertising in outlets beyond those listed above:

Confirming and Paying for JobElephant Services:

Your email approval and Purchase Order (PO number) are required before the ad(s) can be placed. JobElephant will submit all the ads to the publication vendors within hours for processing. Once the ads have been placed, JobElephant will email your invoice to you and with the corresponding PO number for payment.
