The Department of Human Resources is pleased to announce, in conjunction with the GMS Core Team, the launch of GMS Recruiting and Position Budgeting beginning Monday, November 14th! Utilizing Workday’s Recruitment platform, Georgetown will be able to streamline the hiring process and enhance the new employee onboarding experience. The system will also provide Georgetown with increased visibility into its workforce and offer greater insight through a unified, seamless, end-to-end hiring process that is traceable and reportable. Over time, this new recruitment module will reduce the administrative burden of the hiring process at Georgetown University and enhance our candidate pool while simplifying compliance reporting.
Hiring Managers and university leadership will be able to gain insight into current talent and hiring needs, identify bottlenecks in the recruiting process, drive better compensation decisions through a unified system, and bring talent and recruiting together to better understand hiring effectiveness in their areas. The reporting tools GMS Recruiting offers to departments will help to align advertising spending with what sources are most effective, compare peer compensation details to enhance the offer negotiation process, and focus budget decisions on making informed hires that will move goals forward.
The user experience for applicants will also be vastly improved as GMS Recruiting will offer a user-friendly, intuitive system to apply for positions at the university. Applicants will be able to apply quickly and efficiently, and can also import their information directly from LinkedIn. Internal applicants will now be able to easily find open positions and apply for them directly in GMS through the Career worklet. Current applicants through the old ATS will have their data and applications converted into the new recruitment platform and will have immediate access to their applications upon launch.
