COVID-19: Workplace Resources
In response to the outbreak of the coronavirus respiratory disease (COVID-19), Georgetown University is taking proactive steps to protect the health and safety of our community. Below you will find information to guide university employees and leaders regarding Human Resources (HR) policies, procedures, and programs, as the situation evolves.
There are several temporary policies and programs in place to provide additional paid time off and support for employees who cannot work due to various scenarios related to COVID-19.
The university announced a set of actions to reduce expenses to respond to the impact of COVID-19 for the Fiscal Year 2021 budget with the goal of putting the institution in the strongest position to protect our academic and research mission, and maintain our workforce.

The university has transitioned to a telework flexible environment, called “Telework Continuity” in an effort to reduce the potential impacts of COVID-19 by limiting face to face interactions. Guidelines and procedures, along with UIS support for employees working remotely are provided.
