Bring Your Child To Work Day

National Bring Your Child to Work Day is an annual educational program that promotes exposing children between the ages of 5-17 to different career paths, businesses practices and workplace environments. The event occurs on the fourth Thursday of April each year.
This year Georgetown University’s Bring Your Child to Work Day will be hosted by the Department of Human Resources and will include the following opportunities:
- GU Swag Bag at Check In
- Campus Tour
- Photos with Jack the Bulldog
- 10% Discount at Campus Bookstore
- Free kids meal for every adult meal purchased at Leo O’Donovan Hall
This event requires registration in advance. A photo release form must be signed upon registration.
Registration
To participate in these events, families must register in advance along with a photo release form, which must be signed. The program will be conducted with the children’s parents present at all times.

A virtual event sponsored by Junior Achievement USA is available for those unable to attend in-person.

Participants visit the Lauinger Library. Participants learn about the applications of virtual reality technology at the Gelardin New Media Center in Lauinger Library. Participants learn about insects in the Department of Biology’s Entomology Lab. Participants learn how to design puppets in the Department of Performing Arts. Participants learn about dynamic training in the Thompson Athletic Center. Members of the Department of Human Resources help participants check in for the day.
