Additional University Holiday – December 22

Dear Colleagues,

As we enter the holiday season, we would like to express our deep gratitude to all for the many ways that you make our university mission possible.

The immense effort, commitment and dedication that you have demonstrated over this past year while adjusting to new work modes has been tremendous.

In appreciation, we will be designating Thursday, December 22, 2022 as an additional university holiday in the FY23 Holiday Calendar. We hope that this holiday and the winter break offer you, your families and your loved ones some well-deserved rest and rejuvenation.

The holidays can also be filled with stress, demands and challenges. We encourage you to take advantage of these university holidays, Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits and mental health resources available to employees to care for your well-being. For those employees that have already submitted a PTO request in GMS for December 22, the GMS Core Team will correct that request so that those PTO hours will not be deducted from your balance.

We offer our very best wishes for a joyful and meaningful holiday season and look forward to the new year in hope and excitement.

Sincerely,

David Green
