Exhibits
Paintings, sculpture, photography, and other multimedia arts are regularly exhibited throughout the campuses. Traveling exhibits, for example, are featured in the Lucille M. Spagnuolo Gallery and Gallery101 in the Walsh Building. And historic items from Georgetown’s Special Collections and guest collections are on exhibit in Lauinger Library.
Performing Arts
Music, theater, and dance productions take place throughout the year. Many are offered to the community free of charge. The Royden B. Davis Performing Arts Center, opened in 2005, focuses on socially engaged performances in theater and dance. Visit http://performingarts.georgetown.edu.

Business Needs
Banking
Georgetown offers two onsite banking options for employees. Hoya Federal Credit Union has a full line of banking services and operates ATMs in the Leavey Center and on the Law Center campus. Visit http://hoyafcu.georgetown.edu.
PNC Bank has a full service e-branch staffed by two bank specialists to assist customers with completing transactions and equipped with technology to inform and educate customers on PNC products and services. Additionally, PNC has nine on-campus ATMs, including two advanced ATMs in the electronic financial services center. ATMs are also be located on the main campus in Darnall Hall, Village C in the foyer, the Leo O’Donovan Dining Hall, the GOCard office, the Healey Family Student Center, at the School of Continuing Studies and at the Georgetown University Law Center. Computer and Software Sales
Hoya Computing, a division of University Information Services, facilitates the sale of computer systems, peripherals and software to faculty, staff, and students of Georgetown University. Packing and Shipping
The UPS Store, located at 1421 37th St. NW, provides shipping services and packing supplies, as well as U.S. Mail, notary, fax, and passport photo services. On days that the University is closed, the UPS Store is also closed.
Child Care Centers
Hoya Kids Learning Center is dedicated to providing participating employees’ children with the highest quality early care and education in a safe, nurturing, and loving environment. The center fulfills a key component of Georgetown’s educational mission to weave family needs into the fabric of the University community. Hoya Kids serves children from 18 months old through preschool age. Enrollment is available for children of benefits-eligible faculty, staff, and students on a “space available” basis. The Law Center’s Child Care Center, located in the Gewirz Student Center on the Law Center campus, offers child care for the students, staff, and faculty of the Law Center, Main Campus and Medical Center as space is available. The goal of the center is to meet the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual needs of the children in a safe, healthy and loving environment. The center serves children 18 months through preschool age, and offers full-time and drop-in care programs as space and teacher-child ratios allow. Georgetown’s campuses house several coffee shops, most of which feature espresso and gourmet coffee drinks, tea, juices, pastries, and bagels.

Leo J. O’Donovan Dining Hall: On Tondorf Drive in the Southwest Quadrangle. Features numerous stations, including pasta, salad, sandwiches, hot dishes, burgers, and stir-fry. Fixed price for all-you-can-eat. O’Donovan also offers take-out sandwiches and salads.
Market Café: Law Center, McDonough Hall, first floor. Features deli sandwiches, fresh sushi, soup and salad bar, pizza, grill items, to-go items and beverages.
Subway Café: Law Center, Sport and Fitness Center ground floor. Features soups, salads, full Subway menu and a full service Seattle’s Best coffee bar. Gran and go snack items available as well.

Quick Snacks
Convenience Stores: Hoya Snaxa, located in the Southwest Quadrangle, and Vital Vittles, located in the Leavey Center.
Vending Machines: Located in most buildings on campus. Featuring snack food and Coca-Cola brand beverages. Earnings derived from the contracts with Coke and Canteen support scholarships, athletics, and other student-life activities. Fitness, Health, and Wellness
Yates Field House
Located on the west side of Main Campus, Yates features a swimming pool, weights and cardio equipment, racquet courts, indoor golf range, indoor track, basketball courts and wellness center, as well as aerobics classes and intramural sports. It also hosts summer camps and sports camps for children. Memberships are available for individuals and families and may be made through payroll deduction. Visit http://yates.georgetown.edu.
Law Center Sport and Fitness Center
This new facility, opened in 2004, includes a lap pool, locker rooms with whirlpools, fitness area, fitness assessment room, music room, two massage rooms, two group exercise studios, one Spinning studio, two racquetball courts, and 8,400 square feet of multipurpose court for basketball and volleyball. Counseling Services
The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) provides free confidential counseling and referral services to faculty, AAPs, staff, and family members for personal or work-related problems. All records and discussions are handled by qualified counselors on a confidential basis, and FSAP records do not become part of the employee’s permanent personnel file. The FSAP sponsors a number of wellness programs and activities aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle. See the “Health and Safety” section of this handbook for more details. Cancer HelpLine
Call the Lombardi CancerLine 202-444-4000 to learn how to access the latest cancer treatment options and information, or how to find a doctor. Ask questions about risk, second opinions, symptoms, cancer screenings, or treatment options. The free call-in service is staffed by registered nurses, certified in oncology, and sponsored by Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. All calls are free and confidential.
Pharmacy
An outpatient pharmacy, located on the ground floor of the Pasquerilla Healthcare Center, is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In addition to filling prescriptions, the pharmacy provides over-the-counter medications, surgical supplies, and home-care products.

Conference Center and Guest House
The University-owned Hotel and Conference Center, managed by Aramark, is situated between our Medical Center and Main Campus, and conveniently located next to the Georgetown University Hospital. We feature 146 newly renovated luxurious guest rooms and 14 meeting rooms comprised of 13,500 square feet of full service meeting space, easily accommodating meetings, lectures, conferences and catered affairs for groups of 5 to 1,300. University Bookstores
Located on the Main Campus, School of Continuing Studies and Law Center, the University bookstores sell a variety of textbooks and other materials for general reading and classroom use. The stores also sell items such as greeting cards, University logo clothing and office supplies. Services such as film processing, UPS, and FedEx shipping and faxing also are available. Spiritual Services
As the oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher learning in the United States, Georgetown welcomes members of all faiths, and encourages all faculty, staff, and students to examine the role of faith and spirituality in the increasingly global community.
Campus Ministry
The Office of Campus Ministry includes Roman Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, and Orthodox Christian chaplaincies, as well as affiliated ministries and student groups that serve a variety of other religious traditions. Chaplain to the Staff
The Chaplain to the Staff ministers to the spiritual needs of the University’s staff and contributes to the spiritual health of employees through fellowship, encouragement, cooperation, prayer support, and other appropriate ways. Discussing personal, professional, and spiritual issues with the chaplain is private and confidential. He is available to assist staff members as they explore how their spiritual lives contribute to their work at Georgetown; how they can build on their common beliefs to enhance their spiritual lives; and how spiritual discussion fits into the workplace.

Motorist Assistance Program
The Office of Transportation Management is available to help with vehicle problems such as flat tires, dead batteries, and keys locked in cars on campus. The service is available weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. by calling 687-4372.
Parking
On-campus and offsite parking is available in lots and garages for a monthly fee to University employees. Free shuttle buses are provided between Main Campus and the offsite parking facilities at frequent intervals. University parkers who form carpools receive a significant discount. Parking may be paid on a pre-tax basis.
Visitor Parking
A limited number of daily parking spaces are available for a fee in the Southwest Garage, which is accessible from Canal Road or Prospect Street. A limited number of spaces also are available on an hourly or daily basis at the Leavey Center P-1 or Lot A. These spaces, which are accessible from Reservoir Road Entrance 1, are managed separately by the Georgetown University Hospital.
Shuttle Buses
The Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS) helps students, faculty, staff, and visitors travel between Georgetown’s campuses and nearby Metrorail stations. GUTS operates five shuttle routes, connecting the Main Campus to the Georgetown University Law Center on Capitol Hill, to University offices on Wisconsin Avenue, to Metro stations at Rosslyn (Virginia) and Dupont Circle (District of Columbia), and to stops in North Arlington, Va. Routes and schedules are also available online at http://otm.georgetown.edu/guts/index.cfm. Van service is also available between the Law Center and Union Station. Contact Law Center Administration for details about the Law Center shuttle.
Faculty, staff, and students with valid Georgetown University ID cards may ride on any GUTS route at no charge. Physicians, staff, and patients with valid Georgetown University Hospital IDs may ride the Rosslyn and Dupont shuttles. Visitors and individuals doing business on campus may also ride free of charge by showing a picture ID at the time of boarding. Buses with handicapped access are available on all GUTS routes. Metrochek
Through this program, employees may purchase mass transit passes from the Office of Transportation Management on a pre-tax basis through payroll deduction. The pre-tax benefit from Metrochek is up to $100 per month.
SmarTrip
Georgetown employees who use all their Metrochek benefits on Metrorail (including expenses at Metro-operated parking lots) may sign up for a digital SmarTrip card, which allows employees to access their benefit directly at designated machines in Metro stations, rather than having to visit the Office of Transportation Management.
